Plant Description:
It is the dried rhizome of C. longa, a perennial herb of the Zingiberaceae (ginger) family, which is 3–5 ft. tall bearing oblong, pointed, short-stemmed leaves and funnel-shaped yellow flowers. It is cultivated in tropical and subtropical regions around the world and it is originates from India, Southeast Asia and Indonesia.
