Plant Description:

Withania somnifera (Ashwagandha) is a plant used in medicine from the time of Ayurveda, the ancient system of Indian medicine. The dried roots of the plant are used in the treatment of nervous and sexual disorders. The plant grows up to a height of 1.5 meter. The roots are stout, long tuberous, fleshy, whitish brown. The good quality Ashwagandha is cultivated by adopting scientific procedures in Northwest Madhya Pradesh and other parts of India.
